Deer and Cold

Recommended Posts

So looking at the weather forecast for the next couple days up in Flagstaff, and it is going to be getting down to the upper teens. Is this low enough to move the deer off the higher elevation? If no, then what should? Is it a couple days of low teens or what? I've always been curious.

snow, food, water, pressure and booty is what moves bucks. In this case I doubt the cold alone will move the deer down. If anything it might keep them more visible warming up in the am.

Thanks guys. It pretty much seems that the consensus is that lack of food and presence of snow will bring the deer down off the higher elevations.
