Its just a few mineral licks from the feed store. The elk have torn up the ground pretty good theyre there everyday hope they dont scare the whitetails away! and would it be legal to find acorns nearby your stand and pile them all up in one place?

i don't see why not. They're already on the ground, I've done it once, not sure if it is the most time productive thing I've done, but it worked.

Ah yes, it's always a good feeling when you see some big guys make it through the hunting season knowing they could get even bigger, and they are in your area!

the answer to your question is no.

you can sit a stand of oaks but can not pile up the acorns or any other bait, be it naturally grown or home made.

salt and water only.

if it was put out by a rancher for his cattle then you can sit whatever it is he put out.

mineral licks are ok because they are salt based and apparently the don't make the animals congregate... cause you know it's all about disease.

Interesting scar that one buck has on its shoulder. Wonder if it was hunter inflicted or another buck did it.
