My 2015 Unit 10 Speed Goat * Updated w/ Pics and Story

Recommended Posts

On closer inspection we didn't think we had shot our #2 goat on the hit list but we did, couldn't be any happier. Except for the fact that he is now at the taxidermist and I don't get to see him for months.

Nice. Ask the taxi to set the horns on the skull plate and give it back until he needs it. Once the sheaths are off and the skull is boiled the horns are dried then set back on the bone with bondo of sorts. This is the step where some ppl make magic happen. But you should be able to get them back once they do that unless they freeze them.

I think I know which buck you got and where!

WE had watched that buck all Sunday morning. He had two does with him and was at the base of the mountain. There was a herd of about 14 under him that had three bucks with them. Another guy in a grey 4 Runner had parked down the road and was up in the timber and I saw him make a move on the three but they got in front of him.

We figured he was there first, so we we left.

Anyway, when we came back later on we saw Shane's truck and probably yours (Grey Chevy I think) and I saw a guy walking up the mountain carrying a rifle.

Awesome buck! Good job!

I do have some pictures of him that morning from over a mile away. I told the boys he was a shooter....

I got to hear the whole story of the hunt this past weekend. Sounded like a great and interesting experience. Congratulations on a great buck!
