Concerned about the upcoming generation...

Recommended Posts

I work at the Home Depot in Flagstaff. We were lowering the flag half mast for Nancy Reagan. This is an actual conversation at work.

Cashier: "Who are we lowering the flag for?"

My immediate Manager: "Nancy Reagan, she passed away this week."

Cashier (with dead seriousness in her voice): "Who is that? A former employee?"

My manager and I stood with blank stares speechless. This is what happens when you don't teach history in class.....

If you would have said Fidel Castro or SoDamn Insane. They would have shed a tear.

Think about this. Rand Paul, ran as a strict, as it is written, Constitutionalist, conservative could not last past Iowa. Bernie Sanders, an admitted socialist has won the vote in several states. That is fricken disgusting and frightening.

Not the productivity im worried about... it's the simple knowledge of past presidents and first lady

The current generation is so absent minded and clueless, I doubt if any of them could name 6 past Presidents, 3 senators or describe any part of our Government. They just go along with it blindly, exactly as planned. We've been dumbed down - way down. Now we get to reap what we've sown.

*Facepalm*

I'm surprised, being only 21-years-old, how many of my friends asked the same exact thing. Up here attending NAU in Flag, I understand where you're coming from. By the way, I've probably seen you at Home Depot, usually head there once every 2 weeks for write in the rain gear and general nitpicks.

That is why people like Obama get elected. This country is full of bubbleheads, and dingdongs.

I am sure the current generation is being told she was a terrorist, just like all the other evil conservatives.

Let me give you a little tip on dealing with them: just smile, give them the southern slam, "ohhhhhh, god bless your heart!", and than whisper a silent prayer to thank god for people like that. Think about it, when you finish your degree and start competing for jobs do you want to run against a hundred smart, hard-working well informed people? Or is it better to compete against a bunch of air heads?

Nothing you guys are saying is new... elders question the next generation almost always. I can hear it now, "but this time it's different...", but is it? There have always been mindless or lazy people. My generation just is carrying on that tradition. I am just greatful not to be one of them.
