No quail left

Well decided to finish the quail I got this year. After cleaning the. I soaked them in Italian dressing and froze them in it. Today was the day the got cooked on the grillpost-5984-0-64150500-1457666061_thumb.jpg

Thanks it was good I love cooking for my family mostly because my kids think I am the best cook ever it was time to change it up and quail sounded good

I breast out all my doves but skinning out the entire quail is the way I was shown as a kid. There's not a ton more meat on the legs but there's some. I was just curious.

I filet out the breast and remove each leg then dredge all of it in flour and panko crumbs and fry up. the legs are my favorite part. Wild rice is a must have.

I have already seen some pairs running with two hatches ... My brother lives in east mesa, and had about a dozen of those little furry popcorn guys come out from behind his wood pile last week in his back yard. Hopefully they are repopulating well for you to restock your freezer !

I am having a hard time kicking this habit everywhere I go I see quail. At work,home,kids baseball games,and driving down the road. I need a rehab or the season opener to come fast
