Swarovski 2x doubler worth it ?

Recommended Posts

I'm not finding much talk about anyone using one.

Do they not work well, or not clear enough, or ??

Is it worth the price to turn bino's into a spotter ?

I've had one and know lots of people who have had them as well. Nobody was happy with them. Used to be lots of them for sale on here and other forums for a fraction of their original price. Definitely one to avoid.

As amazing as pretty much all of Jim White's products are/were his doublers were even less effective than the other failures on the market. I still use Jim White tripod adapters on my own and all three sons' binoculars - they are simply perfect. His doubler had the same fate as all the other doublers out there - let's face it, if Swarovski can't put out a good doubler it's probably a doomed concept technologically.

I got rid of mine years ago, like staring through a knot hole.

Its a great idea but I never really used mine. If there was a quick way to attach it might be worth it. To cumbersome and time consuming.

Quick question. Why don't they make one that locks into the twist out portion of the ocular? Seems no differenr then an eyepiece locking onto a spotting scope? I understand they don't really work I just don't understand why?
