Harley, Same bolt face between .257 Wby and .264WM, right? You can do a .264WM since you would have to rebarrel and chamber anyway. Gives you a bit of a heavier bullet option. .264 130/140/160gr. Vs. .257 115/117/120gr.

I sure wish Berger would come out with a .257" 130gr. Put 1:9" twist .257 bore and those would rock!

Lance,

They are the same bolt face. In fact I even use .264 win mag brass or 7mm Rem Mag brass to make my .257 Weatherby brass since I am too cheap to buy real weatherby brass for my .257. I do wish they would do a 130gr .257 caliber HVLD. My rifle loves the 115gr. and it would be nice to get a little more BC and bullet weight out of the quarter bore.

Right now toss up between 700 Rem ADL 30-06, and a Winchester 70 .270,might pick up something else before then.

I also drew the same unit as you except my hunt is in December.

I'll throw another one the hat for the .257 Weatherby (Remington 700 LSS) topped with a Zeiss 4.5 x 14 Rapid Z 800. I feed her 110 accubonds @ 3450fps..:D

Firstcoues that rifle is sweet! How do you like that brake? I'm going to have Kyle put one on my 7mag in the near future.

So far I like it. The real test will be shooting from field positions as gas goes everywhere! It kicks less then my 257 wby.
