Rare Russian Hunting Pups for Sale

Recommended Posts

We have 5 puppies, 4 female and 1 male, West Siberian Laikas. There are less than 200 of these dogs in the United States. They are used in Russia to hunt everything from squirrels to bears. $500.00 per pup - pups were born February 16 and will be ready April 13th. First puppy shots already given.

Laikas are intelligent, easily trained and very obedient. They are very devoted and always look to their owners for guidance and leadership. Aggressive towards large predators, the Laikas can be very affectionate and get along well with children and home pets. They are also known as fierce protectors ready to fight till the end to save their owner from any threat. These Russian dog breeds are rustic and resistant, and usually do not have serious health problems. Owning Laika dog is a good choice not only for hunters but for all active people, especially farmers living in northern regions. Laikas are energetic, dynamic and hard working. They are not very well suited for full-time indoor living and need a lot of outside exercise.

Image 76 is the mother and image 77 is the father. The mother is AKC registered and the father is registered by a comparable Ukrainian organization.

If interested in viewing the pups, please give me a call at 602-920-3775.

Cool dogs. We already have too many dogs in our house, but love looking at an unfamiliar breed. Google them and they look very wolf like. What are they used to hunt?

I think Laika was also the name of the first dog they shot into space. Good looking pups.

Sidenote: we used to do Schutzhund training. All the dogs only responded to German commands. Lol.

Look like sled dogs. Not sure there is anything worthwhile for them to to hunt in Arizona. Might make good pets if you live in Heber, Flag or Alpine.

Good luck finding them homes, they are cute.

The female has been here for two years and the male 1 year the have handled the heat very well. They have shade and plenty of water. Females will go to 40lbs and males to 50lbs. I can tell you the are great hunters, very observant and fast. We have a home on the rim and they love working the forest.
