Delw Report post Posted April 19, 2017 I had a simple goal like that too many many years ago in unit 9. after hundreds of trips up there I still find lopes where I never thought they would be. up until about 8-10 years ago I was in unit 9 15-20 times a year if not more in the earlier years. coolest animals in Az are lopes. good luck Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

idgaf Report post Posted May 7, 2017 a few more pics. Right now the club house leaders are bucks I nick named Flare and Heart (pretty obvious who is who). Pics of them from a couple of weeks ago. they put on some very noticeable and somewhat impressive growth when I saw them yesterday. I forgot to check the batteries in my camera. It has been my experience (4 archery tags + this one) that the rut really doesn't kick in until the first week of September. I am hoping with the 8/11 start that they are still solo. I am trying to fine tune everything, from pushing them to see their escape routes to learning the nuances of the fields they live in. To finding every conceivable indention that may hold water. I am stuck in hades, AKA Scottsdale, for work until the eve of my hunt. I have limited vacation and two tags (elk and antelope), I am hoping to only need one vacation day for me antelope hunt, that's why I am overcompensating with scouting/training. 300RUM Report post Posted June 26, 2017 I have only had 1 archery goat tag. Unit 1 years back. I got skunked but had a blast. Suburban antelope can be very bold. I drive for a freight company and used to take trailers to the Ace Hardware warehouse in Prescott Valley. One day I was hooking 2 trailers together on the road next to the warehouse and heard CLOMP, CLOMP, CLOMP ???? A heard of antelope marched down the middle of the road, past an idling Kenworth, stopped and watched me hook up the air lines between the trailers then headed down the road to get a drink at a nearby ranch.
