Red Rabbit Report post Posted August 26, 2017 For the eclipse, I was invited to go with some other photographers onto Hunt's Mesa which overlooks Monument Valley in northeast Arizona. The hopes were that the eclipse would create some different or unusual lighting. That turned out to be nothing special, but we did have a nice sunrise, good company and a good camp. One needs to hire a Navajo guide to go up on the mesa. There are some sandy spots and rocky ledges that require 4wd. This was the first time that i had been up on Hunt's, so it was a real treat.
