Overnight Hiking Trip / Creekside

Recommended Posts

I am considering an overnight hiking / camping trip, and am looking ideas for a nice destination. Maybe something creekside? Or something with a view? Any suggestions? Ideally something about 2-3 miles, not too strenuous of a hike, with overnight parking available.

Thank you!

Bob

Some really great stuff in unit 29 chirachaua mtns. Turkey creek camp has trails right out of it that can lead to creeks for overnighter.

Sycamore wilderness can have the same deal if we get some rain. Lots of trails coming out of Sedona area going in there but it's dry right now.

Beaver creek area is a little short on hiking miles but might work ,

I don't know if there's water but I plan on getting to the Sierra ancha wilderness area some day, I hear it's amazing

sycamore creek out of Clark dale is nice. Woodchute trail is nice but the water must be filtered from a cow tank(I’ve filtered 100s of Liters from that tank) but hellova view.

Horton creek.

Agree on Horton. I live 4 miles from the trail head and hike it often.

Can be crowded in the summer but right now its great
