So I know some ladies

Recommended Posts

First off its not that kinda post!! Haha. A few women from work and wifes friends have talked to me over the the past years about learning to shoot. None really want to hunt, most are single and they just want to learn. Ive taken a few out and shown them basic gun safety and how to shoot, clean, store, and maintain a pistol. Now I dont want to charge anything but is there any legal ramifications if I get a group of them together and have a class with proper and safe ways of conducting themselves with a gun?

I can help you out if needed

You might want to give some thought to getting NRA Certified as an instructor. I was at Usery a few years ago and a group of scouts showed up with a scout leader to shoot either for a merit badge or some other certification and were turned away because they didn't have the proper paperwork, whatever that was. It might have included some sort of insurance too.

I don't think there would be any legal ramifications for teaching someone to shoot a gun, unless they got hurt doing so.

Firearm self defense training is a different story.
