Pratt Lake

Recommended Posts

Made it by Pratt this weekend and it is not dry. The lake is actually spring fed from underneath. The water level is low but not dry. The fishing was slow but it was mid day when I was there and only stayed for about an hour.

Fished Pratt Lake in the early 70's. I'd always heard you had to hide behind a tree to put on a bait. We caught nothing. Roads were bad back then (especially when wet). We would drive through the H-V ranch headquarters and four wheel up the ranch road to the lake. Shaved a lot of time off the trip. Tried the lake 3 or 4 times with no fish. Figured it had winter killed.

Yes in the 80's we caught some real nice trout out of potato lake. Dad made us hike a canoe in there to get out past the reads, it was like 40+feet deep in the middle. Creepy looks like a creator.
