Thanks for posting this. I haven't looked at the list yet; but last year there were just over 2400 tags available on the leftover list - and G&F put out a statement the other day stating there were over 2400 leftover tags. If what I saw and read here is accurate, then it is about the same.

 

And I'm not sure the 2400 they stated this year was all deer tags.

As a whole your probably right. I only looked at the unit I normally hunt and the numbers are down by a bit in that unit. The lowest I've seen in that unit in the last 8-10 years. Also think I remember unit 29 having some leftovers last year as well.

OK. So just dumping the numbers into Excel really quick:

2017 General Deer: 1508

2018 General Deer: 1614

 

At least for General Deer, 106 more leftover tags this year.

Just curious, was that a couple years ago? I'm looking at the leftover list for 2017 in the Arizona Coues Deer section that someone posted, and looking at this year's list. I don't see anything for 29 in either year. I could be missing something, too.
