Well I've decided to go after some chuckar here in AZ when season opens. Have a couple spots to try and see what we can get up. Has anyone else had the itch to try this?

Ya if you go keep us posted! With chasing goat, deer, and grouse I’ll have no time, otherwise I’d be game.

Too hot for me and the dogs this time of year. I don't know why the season starts so early. That being said I have shot quite a few AZ. CHUKARS through the years. They are my favorite bird to hunt but I usually go out of state.

Would love to hunt Chukar and Duskies here in AZ, but not sure where to start.

Low grassy areas in the BAB, used to see them all the time and grouse.

I'd be more than game, definitely not in Sept. Would rather do Nov or later.

Empire Ranch has a ton!!! They aren't native to that area, but there is some kind of competition with horses and quail every year. They let the birds go and if you get them after the competition, before the coyotes do, there is quail and chukar.

azbirdhunter88 did you ever try Empire Ranch last year? Been looking at pheasant but sounds like both places in Casa Grand & Coolidge are not worth the effort.
