Trailer .. downgrade?

Recommended Posts

Ok. Here goes.

I have a decent 5 x 8 Trailer that my Ranger *will not* fit on - by like 2 inches. Everything works, it's just not quite big enough. I will mention it doesn't have a jack stand. Tires are in awesome shape. Has a ramp in the back.

I'm looking to upgrade to a 5.5 or 6 foot wide x 10 trailer in decent condition.

Maybe you don't need a 6 foot and would get by on a 5 foot trailer - I'll trade ya and throw in $200 cash.  Let me know what you think!IMG_3237.thumb.jpg.43007cbcb6c15e9d2d16b68d0c2cd75e.jpg

My friend hads that exact same trailer and was plagued with the same problem. Took the trailer to my uncle who welds and added a foot to the front end. All it cost was material and beer (for my uncle) and problem solved.

Let air out of the back tires down to 10psi, back it on and strap it forward. That will easily get you 2-3" further forward.   Viola, it fits.

Thanks guys,

I should clarify- it's not wide enough. I'm missing by two or three inches.

Love the back in idea though..
