Sonora Coues hunt (last minute opening)

Recommended Posts

A coworker grew up down by Magdelina and has a family friend ( rancher) with 3 unused tags.  I’m just the getting details but the rancher claims he can push the gun permits and other papers thru in time to hunt.  I’ve never hunted Mexico but I’m looking at giving it a go.

Anyone else interested?

PM me for details.

Thx Jim

I’m edititing the original post to add a couple of things.

1) I haven’t seen the ranch or met the actual owners, they are friends of a coworker.  He grew up in the area and knows the family very well.

2) I’m not involved with or making any money on this hunt.  I just want to go down there and hunt Coues and I’ll be paying the same $$ as anyone else.

3) This could be a fantastic hunt or it might be a waste of time and money.  For the price, I’m willing to give it a try.  Please take that into consideration before you lay out your money.  No refunds if we don’t harvest a deer.  The pictures I’ve seen look really good, but so do a lot of social media profiles (LOL).

It’s discounted due to becoming available so close to the hunt date.

Hunt includes permits, escort to and from Nogales border, ranch house and guides.  Cooks are not included.

Ranch is located 170 miles south of Nogales.

Still working on dates.

I have no idea on how well their “guides” perform.  They have pics of some bucks that are over 100 “. They also claim to have albino javelina on the ranch. Ranch is over 3600 acres.  Terrain looks somewhat mountainous.

Jim,

That might be a ranch I guided on maybe 10 or more years ago. The one I spoke of on the phone with you yesterday. The albino strain of Javi's has been there for some time. If it's the same ranch, it's a good size ranch with ample water sources, nice ranch house. I don't know what the deer have done since then. We were always able to find a few 100+ bucks a day. Pretty sure a few taken were over 110. I think that's the same ranch Guy Eastman from Eastmans Journal hunted years ago. Good luck, keep in touch.
