Guess the score

Recommended Posts

Since I don't have an elk tag, as usual, just passing the time wishing and dreaming...

I don't know what he scored as we never saw him after opening day.

I'm guessing 340-350ish.  Looks like the right side will limit the left.

This is a really nice bull, a shooter first light, first day.  Not bigger than two bulls I've had shots at going back to the early 80s, but I missed so those are just a stories (one in 1980, one in 2006).

maybe not that big...

I am guessing 325. I used him because he would make me think hard about shooting even in a trophy area. He's super pretty, nice and wide, has decent 4's but that's about it. No fronts and short mains...  Still a neat bull.

340-350  Nice bull. A shooter this year for those luckier than me to get a tag

Fronts are weak but still going to say 340.

300 - 310.  Short'ish main beams and brows.  Nice top end.  Shooter all day long!

310ish, that's one of the bulls I tell folks... that tell me they 'haven't killed an elk before and will wait on a 350 bull minimum'... that's one of the bulls I tell them the best advice is to screw score and shoot if he looks good to you. Few elk hunters in this world have killed a 310/320 bull, it's a small club.
