Vizsla needs new home.

Recommended Posts

Our sweet girl Sage, needs a new home. She is a very affectionate dog like all Vizslas. She loves to be right on top of you if you let her.

She is a pure bred and her parents are AKC registered. I have the paperwork for her but never filled it out. She is up to date on vaccines and has been spayed.

She turned a year old in November. She loves to run and has plenty of energy. I can take her for a 5 mile bike ride and she never slows down.

She will point a little but I haven’t hunted her or trained her.  She is gun shy and I haven’t tried to work it out of her.

We need to find her another home because she bit my daughter and the neighbor kid.

She is normally great with all kids and other dogs. My kids are always harassing her without any issues but my 3 year old daughter grabbed her while she was getting into the trash and she bit her in the face. She bit the neighbor when she got out of our yard and the neighbor tried to grab her to get her back over to our properly

We live on an acre but she has found a couple places to get out of the fence and that has become a problem. Once she gets out, she thinks it’s a game when I call to her, and she won’t come unless I pull up next to her in the truck.

We put in an underground electric fence to keep her in, which has definitely helped but I also think that is what started to make her aggressive.

She will need a well fenced yard. She is good around other dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and other pets. She sleeps in the house on a dog bed and loves affection. She is very well mannered in the house and would make an amazing pet to the right family.

I was thinking some sort of rehoming fee would be appropriate to make sure she goes to a good home.

We live in Marana/northwest Tucson area.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Vizslas!!!  Have owned two, and my ex-wife currently has two more.  (They are addicting.....)

I can't take one now due to my global work travel schedule, and being an empty-nester there is nobody here to care for dog(s) while I'm on extended business trips.  That being said though, I'll ping my ex-wife to see if her two sweeties want a playmate!

Ok sounds good, and just so everyone knows I really don’t care about the rehoming fee. I was thinking $50-100 just to make sure someone is committed to her but the money doesn’t matter at all. Just want someone who will appreciate her.

Hey AZ RANGER!

I checked with my ex, and she said they are flush with the two Vizslas they have  (they take a lot of road trips and the two kennels is all they can handle.... ).  So unfortunately, no adoption angle there.

BIG BUMP though!  For anyone who has not met a Vizsla, they are amazing dogs!  Hope someone can meet this little sweetie and fall in love.
