I am excited today as I got to spend some time in the pen with my new pup.  "Clover" is a German wire-haired pointer like Rica was.  I sense that good times, adventures and quail hunts lie ahead. The pups are five weeks old today, so it will be another three before the home schooling begins.

What a great looking pup. My daughter got a Drahthaar pup before Christmas and every time I see it I think of your pics with Rica.

Bet she is having a bunch of fun with her pup letting it explore and learn.

Clover is 11 weeks old now.  Housebreaking was quick.  She's sleeping through most nights in her kennel without needing to be taken out.  Working on "come" now, although butterflies are a solid distraction.

Great looking pup, Doug. Rica would likely approve of your choice!

Thanks Tony.  Rica left a good impression of the GWP breed.
