Ron Robison custom arrows

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever hear of this Bowyer?

Since beginning to build arrows for myself and friends I have been meeting folks who have old items in their garage, these are custom built wood arrows from 50 plus years back still in the box.

Still shoot great.

Here's the bow to go with the arrows, at full draw it feels more like 60lbs, I'm guessing my draw is longer than planned for this build

its 65 X 50lbs and very cool that its ambidextrous, shot it from both sides.

Well, those arrows right there just go to show that not all things that are old are to be considered bad.

It's break time again. Arrow testing and bow tweaking for a friend who is on his way overseas so we can do stuff like this

Here's some more arrow playing. Trying out the new AAE 5 inch trad fletchings. 2 different set ups, fiberglass shafts with both feathers and AAE vanes with 200 grns up front and also modern graphite shafts all with AAE vanes and 200 up front. All shafts are measuring in the 350 to 400 spine range.

Should get some test shots this weekend.
