Yard art

Recommended Posts

Out hiking years ago I came across this antique tooth harrow that had been uncovered in a wash by a 100 year flood. Came across it again recently and retrieved it.

Next will be the ore cart half buried on my claim in the Bradshaws. Can't get any vehicle within 1/4 mile of that so building a sled and hooking up a harness to my boy...he just doesn't know it yet.lol

While dredging in the Bradshaws this week, revisited the ore cart buried in the creek.0401200839.thumb.jpg.ec8d5c136abe7ec3d91bea0fb75fd160.jpg

Dredged around it and freed it from the rock that held it captive at least a half century we know of.

Well she was in pretty rough shape. Bottom rusted out and carriage missing, she belongs to the elements not in my yard.

Those are really cool Tim!

The only yard I had was a cow skull that my dog ate!

That is cool, jealous that you're out there looking for gold, while I'm still just thinking about it.  Did you find anything around it while dredging?

Yes the cart was snagged on bedrock where I had found a contact zone on the stream bank. Lots of fines and a couple pickers.

I like my new hobby. Locate mineral wealth on unclaimed lands and sell to the ambitious. Papers on this spot are being drawn up today.

I've stepped over that cart before but can't remember what creek it was on.

Hard to tell from the first pic, but is that a 4in suction nozzle you are using? seems a bit shallow for a power jet setup. looks like a good area. reminds me of the

sierras in n.cal many years ago.

I had it narrowed down to 3 spots. That's where I was thinking but wasn't sure. I know right where it is now. Last time I was there it had signs up from some prospectors club.

Not a club

I would never join a club that would take me as a member.

It's been probably 10 years since I've been in there I tried pulling that cart out but didn't have any tools since I rode a quad from my house to get there.
