On a weeknight? Your crazy man! Sounds fun though.  Used to go to punk rock, metal and hardcore shows all the time back in the day.   Then I started having kids...

I’ve seen Maiden 4 times.

But those days are over. My constant tinnitus reminds me how stupid we were not wearing hearing protection at those concerts. Always running towards the front to be right there by the speakers! Stupid. And I’m paying for it now.

With that said.......enjoyed every concert! Great memories! 😎

Iron Maiden(4 times) Metallica (5) Queensryche (5) KISS(5) Van Halen(2)...... GNR, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Ratt, Anthrax, Def Leppard, KIx, Dokken, Priest.....the list goes on. Lol

My tastes went to Country Rock by the time Metal became popular. Growing up on Long Island there were multiple concerts every weekend to go to plus tons of local groups that made it big like Eddie Money, Billy Joel, Twisted Sister playing in the local clubs.

Joe Walsh and the James Gang played my Senior Prom in 1970. Loudest concert I saw was Deep Purple. My ears rang for 30 minutes after I left the Coliseum. Typical ticket prices in the late 60's and early 70's were $6.50 to $8.50 and T-Shirts were $9.50

I've seen the Stones, Pink Floyd, Grand Funk, Doors, Joplin, Grateful Dead, Zappa, YES, ELO, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, Bo Didly, Les Paul, The Who, Skinard, Charlie Daniels both with his band and also playing with Marshall Tucker, Allman Brothers, Ten Years After, Rory Gallegher, Wet Willie, New Riders, Sha Na Na, Buddy Guy, Jethro Tull, Buckingham Nicks, Fleetwood Mack, Both Winters Brothers, Sly and the Family Stone, Shaka Kahn, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, The Four Seasons, Bonnie Rait, Pat Benetar, Queen, Willie Nelson, KISS, Santana.Paul McCartney and Wings and lots of one hit wonders who were openers. I'm sure there are a few I missed.

Never got to see the Beatles or Hendrix but Jimi would play at a place in the Village called The ELectric CIrcus and the cover was $2 but I was only 15 or so at the time.

Didn't make Woodstock as I had a dad who was struggling to make ends meet with five kids and I had a job flipping burgers during the week and worked from 11PM to about 8AM Friday and Saturday nights for a guy who had a cleaning business which was a few office buildings and resturants and a few bars.

PINK FLOYD       ASU Sun Devil Stadium       No show compares and has to be someone on here that was at this show (if they remember)      been to more concerts when younger cant even try to count..Father dealt with CocaCola people so anytime concert at desert sky, cricket, not sure what its called now....but when they announced the concert, called pops = 4 tickets CocaCola suites, parking pass, and backstage many times-anyone that has been close to the stage at cricket (will call it) probably has seen the round tables with 4 big cushioned pull out chairs with metal bars around your little area.....center stage 15 or so rows up...my brother and I each get ticket, then next ticket goes to the person willing to drive, and last ticket sometimes was scalped for beer money, chicks, etc......  Okay so lurked on cw for years, then had an acct for very short time due to system issues and user name went kiaser sosa on me so said F I, then went back to lurking again: lurking for 10-15 years prob.....been meaning to sign back up for a while (years)..anyways, I will introduce myself properly somewhere....

Do the Beach Boys count :) saw them in 78.........I'm sure they don't count but the closest I've been to anything besides, Willie, George, Allen Jackson...............no metalhead here!!!!!

No problem there...this was my 4th bucket list concert of the year with Garth and George being the first 2. My musical tastes are "diverse" :)

I like all kinds of music.  Very fond of lots of metal.  My brother is a full on headbanger!  He's a drummer and was in an Iron Maiden tribute band named Total Eclipse not too long ago.  He can play ALL that stuff in his sleep!  I got turned onto Iron Maiden about the mid 80's.  Saw them at Desert Sky or Cricket or whatever its called now about 10 or 15 years ago.  Somewhere Back in Time Tour if I remember right.  Epic!!!

I wish I had my stack of ticket stubs with me to help me out but lets say I've seen a BUNCH of concerts.  First concert I can remember going to was Jazz legend Buddy Rich with my Dad and brother at like age 5.  Most recently Willie Nelson.  I've seen everything from Punk to Reggae, Metal to Country and everything in between.  Not too much into the more recent R&B or rap music but the old Motown stuff is really great.

Notable artists/bands I've seen, certainly not even close to all:

Metal/Rock:  Cinderella/David Lee Roth (12 or 13 years old, Veterans Coliseum, first real rock concert, Steve Vai on lead guitar, my ears rang for days!), Motley Crue/LA Guns (Veterans Coliseum, Girls, Girls, Girls tour, 87?), Metallica (in the brand spanking new America West Arena, 1992), Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Dio with Heaven and heck, Primus

Reggae:  Steel Pulse, Eek A Mouse, Black Uhuru, Don Carlos, Bunny Wailer, Gregory Isaacs, Ziggy Marley (Paradise Casino, Winterhaven CA), Bad Brains (punk?), Culture

Classic Rock:  Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead (15 times in 3 years), Santana, Allman Brothers Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (the last tour, Red Rocks CO), Fleetwood Mac, Dave Matthews Band, Steve Miller Band, Phish, Black Crowes, Joe Walsh, Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic

Popular:  Beastie Boys (TCC Old Exhibition Hall and Compton Terrace), 311/Cypress Hill, Run DMC (UofA mall Spring Fling 1998), U2 (ASU Stadium 1992), Sting (Opened for the Grateful Dead, 1993 Las Vegas Silverbowl), Depeche Mode, Counting Crowes, INXS (Steel Pulse opened, 1988? Compton Terrace)

Country/Western/Bluegrass:  George Jones, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Asleep at the Wheel, Old Crow Medicine Show (Mesa Amphi, Grand Old Opry, Red Rocks), The Devil Makes 3, George Strait, Montgomery and Gentry, Craig Morgan (Yuma Co Fairgrounds), Brooks and Dunn, Gary Allen, Alan Jackson, Eric Church, Randy Rogers Band (Yuma County Fair), Bobby Osborne, Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley, Dale Watson, Justin Moore, Chris Stapleton.  We have tickets to see Billy Currington in a few weeks.

A little off topic but a number of these artists passed away shortly after I saw them perform.  Jerry Garcia died in 1995 a few months after the last concert I saw him perform with the Dead in Las Vegas.  Tom Petty died two years ago about 2 or 3 months after I saw him and Joe Walsh at the Red Rocks. Troy Gentry died about 6 months after I saw them at the Grizzly Rose in Denver.  I think I am done seeing Willie.  I really regret not seeing Randy Travis perform locally, a few months after his last concert in the area he had the major stroke or whatever happened.  Now when stuff comes up, we just buy the tickets and go.  Life is too short to not enjoy it.

You are the first person I have ever heard of that actually saw the Doors perform, that's pretty cool!  Janice Joplin, Bo Didly, Chuck Berry too!  Way cool.  Props for The Who and Queen too.
