 When testing for rank or when competing at base level honors, they always ask you when was the USAF born. Your son should have no trouble remembering.

Edge, My Dad that passed away 6 months ago at 98 was in the Air Force in WWII. Tommorrow He would have turned 99.  Born Sept. 19 ,1920 . I am Going to AZ .Veterans Cemetary Tomm. and say a prayer for Him . Great stuff and thanks..........BOB!

Yes, joined the AF to travel and got stationed at CAFB.  Luckily I got to go all over the world on TDY's.  They were awesome to watch fly when we were out of the country with no restrictions.  When we would go to Canada the jets would come home with the paint peeling off the leading edge of the wings. I also saw an AMI (airspeed mach indicator) stuck at 2.2.  Not so fun to work on though.
