SOLD-- Time-Life "OLD WEST" Series

Recommended Posts

There are 27 books in all, most of which have never even been read. They have faux leather covers with an image to illustrate the topic of each one. Time-Life offered them at $12.95 each plus S&H in the 1970s. Today, they would likely be at least $25 per.

 SOLD

No trades, and will consider REASONABLE offer. Will ship at buyer's expense, which would be costly even at the media rate. Payment via PayPal (buyer doesn't need an acct; just a CC or checking acct.) or cash only.  Located near 67th Ave. and Camelback.

We had this in my house as I was growing-up as a kid in the 70s.  Spent endless hours browsing and studying the pics (admittedly, rarely reading....).  My favorites were The Soldiers and The Cowboys.

Good luck selling!

Yuppers. Anyone with kids in EL school should have them so they can learn some history because they sure ain't teaching much of it anymore in today's education system.

Those are decent reading, but they are fiction -- about what they teach for history in the schools now. 😖

This set will not only entertain but also educate!

I was watching a couple episodes of the PBS series "The West" on Netflix yesterday. It was done by Ken Burns and covers a lot of the topics in this set of books. They would be great for someone who likes to delve into this country's history.

I saw some of that series when it was on PBS. It was well done. And you're right. I'd bet some of the same photos from these books were used in the TV series.
