Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted April 1, 2020 2013 F150 Ecoboost 4x4 Took it in for an oil change and was told I have a leak coming from my timing chain cover! My truck is always parked on concrete and most days I see nothing underneath! One trip from the valley next morning a couple of drops! How critical is this leak? muledeerarea33? Report post Posted April 1, 2020 Don’t wanna sound like a dick but stuff leaks. Can’t count the number of coincidences that have happened in my shop after an oil change. I doubt and hope the tech did anything wrong but it’s possible they left something loose. Best thing is to take it to a shop you trust or back to the place that did the oil change, have them show you exactly where the leak is from. Curtis Reed Report post Posted April 1, 2020 Assuming there actually is a leak present... before you spend the money to have the gasket replaced, or DIY, get in there and make sure all the bolts are torqued to spec.
