Whitesheep Report post Posted September 7, 2020 My group is in 5B for rifle. This has been our best Elk unit over the years. In my opinion the roads are not as bad as in 6A. Of course it depends on your definition of "road." We have had our best luck in the PJs around Deep Well NE of Chavez Mountain. This year we are staying at the Happy Jack Lodge so we can better control our scent. Ha Ha Ha. If you want a thrill, take the road off 87 that goes by Dick Hart tank and then on the East side of East Sunset right beside Clear Creek. I don't know the FR number and haven't been there in years for a reason. Scared all of us pretty bad.
