New Mexico unit 51 late season bull elk muzzleloader

Good news!! My son who’s 14 drew an elk tag in New Mexico in unit 51. The bad news is I’ve never been there and it’s far enough I can’t make a scouting trip. If anyone has input as to where to start it would be greatly appreciated. Trying so hard to ge this kid his first elk!!
