85 may have been a straight axel carburated in the deluxe but EFI in the SR5 package.

Also, a few early 86's had straight axels but most 86's on had independent front suspension.

Gotta love the internet.

The main thing is this truck is barely broken in. Should be a very reliable quality vehicle. Simple to work on and able to go most anywhere. 

It is a standard 5spd tranny?

Has this truck sold?  Pics available?  You could post that on Denver craigslist for $8k with only 84k miles, that truck is the best recipe for Rocky Mountain mining trails.  Sorry to be the wanker who says it, but that low of miles on a rust free desert truck, you have a gem.
