There's a guy on Dysart road, let me find his name. He did mine for $1200.00 and did great.

Don't rebuild it. Find a low mileage replacement. Nobody seems to rebuild A340F worth a crap. Toyota seems to be the only ones that can figure it out. Better off getting a 50-100k mile trans that'll run for 200k than having to rebuild every 30k miles IMO.

Thanks. This is a 4runner im thinking of buying that's having some transmission issues so i was trying to get a worst case scenario cost. He drove it thru emissions a couple weeks ago no issues and now says it won't shift past first. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know.

If you put it in first, then second , etc manually will it go? Mine won’t shift on its own right now but will if I do it working the automatic shifter manually like I said.

please keep me posted if you find a solution.

Just don't shake hands with Riley his shop foreman. You'll loose all circulation for a few hours.
