Lance, have you played around with RL33 much? If so how is it for temp stability?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!

If you are not at max or near max loads, no issues at all.  With max loads, once you hit about 95°, pressures do go up.  I had a max loaded 28 Nosler w. 195s at 3167fps.  When temps hit 100+, it was a pretty sticky bolt lift.

I tested rounds kept in a cooler, rounds kept in the shade at ambient temp (104°), and rounds kept in the sun.

The cooler rounds, no problem.  3167fps.

The shade rounds @ 104°, a touch of sticky bolt, 3182fps.  Slight ejector mark.

The rounds in the sun, significantly sticky bolt lift, heavy ejector mark, 3220fps.

Similar rifles with more moderate loads of 3060-3100 have not shown these signs when temps get above 105°.

Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback Lance. I’m looking forward to trying it should I be able to come across some in the future.
