We have a Chef's Choice slicer we bought for about $100 several years ago we use for thin slicing meat (jerky, Mongolian style stir fry, lunch meat, etc.). The basic $100 ones work great for at home personal use. The kids love the stir fry. My daughter's 12th birthday way yesterday and she requested chicken teriyaki stir fry WITHOUT veggies, I insisted on onions.
