I am a skeptic naturally and agree almost entirely. The slight possibility means I might be out there one night with a fryer chicken on a giant treble hook, a line anchored to my hitch and a bottle of whiskey to keep me company.

Don't believe but I do, how knows what lives in the depths of a lake that old..

Here's a 50+ we pulled out a few years ago while bass fishing near the dam

IMO, the biggest cats are right below the dam (not just Roosevelt). The idea being shad and other fish get cut up in the turbines and provide a huge food source. I saw some guys below Bartlett lake catch several cats in the 30+ range and eventually one really big one that was probably 50+. I was fishing from the shore but they had a good spot to anchor in an eddy too far for me to cast but those guys were tearing it up.

Nice bro, a buddy of mine went Monday and they cought over 100 bass. They are good serious bass dudes and worked hard all day. I did not ask any details but he said he was all over the pond and it was a wide open bite all day.

If they got 100 I should be able to catch 10 or 15 in my 5 hours out.

I'll be back in October. ...
