No, not yet.

"The Arizona Game and Fish Commission Appointment Recommendation Board has forwarded the names of three candidates to Gov. Doug Ducey for his consideration in making his 2021 appointment to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission.

Daniel W. Caputo of Flagstaff, Clay Hernandez of Tucson, and Kate Scott of Elgin were interviewed by the board at its public meeting on Nov. 10 at the Arizona Game and Fish Department headquarters in Phoenix. They had been selected for interview from an initial slate of five applicants considered by the board at its Oct. 20 public meeting."

Exactly and in the name of racism and gender Diversity

“(Gov. Ducey’s) office has expressed an interest to have a wide range of applicants with diverse backgrounds apply for the job and I think all three fit that bill," said Charles Kelly, the board member who proposed the resolution to submit all candidates. "Maybe some more than others, but I would like to give the governor an opportunity to consider all three applicants."

The lack of gender diversity as well as the commission's frequent tilt toward hunters and anglers over nonhunters has long been a concern for members of the public and environmentalists. Since its founding in 1929, the commission has consisted primarily of men with a strong hunter-angler perspective.

Frances Werner became the first female commission member in 1980, appointed by Gov. Bruce Babbitt. Four women have served on the commission since. The last woman to be appointed finished her term in 2011, according to Arizona State Library records reviewed by The Republic. A handful of women have applied for a commission membership in the years since, but haven't been appointed.

Jennifer Martin and Sue Chilton have both served as commissioners.  Jennifer had a biology background and may have worked for the department at one time and Sue Chilton is a rancher just outside of Arivaca.

Frances Werner, as well. Her husband was an entomology professor at UofA, and she had a masters in zoology. She died in 2016

"In 1980 she was appointed to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission where she served for ten years. In the 1990s, she was appointed to the Bureau of Land Management Resource Advisory Council, which she chaired for several years. She received several major awards and was inducted into the Arizona Outdoor Hall of Fame in 2009. Locally, she worked on trail access and on Pima County's Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan."

Jennifer was a pretty open minded and a very smart lady from the get go and listen to what fishermen were saying. I have lot of respect for her. I met and talked with her about a dozen times, mainly regarding the fisheries.

she was one who knew when she was being bullshitted by over zealous bass fishermen.

Ah yes.  A knee jerk reaction to the complaints of non hunters that do mostly nothing to fund conservation effort that hunters and anglers have been carrying for years  Makes sense.

People want to see wildlife but have no idea who pays for wildlife.

Might be good to let her see how the department really works and where all the funding comes from and if she gets to far out of line she gets out voted 4-1.
