here is what Scott had to say about his hunt:

I shot this deer on 8 January 2006 using spot and stalk. My partner I first glassed this buck and a doe along with two other bucks and does watering at a pond. They eventually moved off the water and up a saddle on the opposite side of the canyon we were on. We moved over to the other side and was working our way to a rock outcropping to try to glass them up again when I saw movement. This buck was following the same doe right to me. They stopped behind a cedar tree which allowed me to draw. When they stepped out I took the shot at 21 yards. He went about 75 yards down hill and expired in a Manzanita bush. I took another smaller buck in Jan 07 and am now hooked on bow hunting these grey ghost’s of the desert with a bow only.
