I don't know stomp442 I've gotten a pretty good laugh out of it. I teach violin to children and this is more chaotic than a class full of ten year olds with bows and strings.

I would definitely take a hard look at the Eld-x 212 grain. I'm trying to get some for my 300 rum.I think I will stay with what I know. The Amax. In my 7mm mag I seat the 162 grain at just off the lands (-.025) and it works great. I've shot everything from from pigs to Barbary sheep to mature mule deer bucks with it and they dropped in their tracks. The 208 grain Amax or the ELD should be adequate. I wish they made the SST in 210 grain.

I brake guns attached to the actions. I actually just installed my badger thruster on a barreled action.
Not necessarily.
I was wondering this too. Also I would like to put a badger thruster break on my new 7mm. I don't like the look of breaks that are real bulky on the barrel. I have just the stock barrel( not a bull barrel). Would a gun smith be able to turn it so that it matches the barrel more? Or does it take a bull barrel to do that?Does a gunsmith have to take your barrel off the action to thread it and install a break?
Go to CNC Warrior site and look at all their tools.
You can thread a barrel while still attached to action.

It's a great little gun, used it as a car gun for awhile but it lives in the safe now.

In my opinion that would push the rifle into the shooter, when I design a brake I work for something that will pull the shooter forward.has anybody ever used the brakes with the ports that face forward (out of the crown) instead of side ports? Always been curious if those help push the noise downrange instead of back at the shooter while still reducing recoil
The muscle brake might be good for you. Small straight port in the back and two angled ports the small straight one helps keep the noise from you.
