Me too. He did it while I waited....pretty cool. 50 bucks and he's on Meridian and Elliot.

I stepped 3" from one a couple weeks ago walking into a stand to call coyotes. It was about 5:20am and the sun was barley up. He was coiled up and didn't even move or make a sound.....surprised I didn't screech like a girl. I have been thinking about getting some snake boots or something since I often make it to the first stands before light.

A buddy and I managed to put down 3 foxes by the time it reached 100 degrees. I was able to get the first kills on my Tikka Varmint in 22-250 and Benelli M2. I haven't hunted without a suppressor for a long time and forgot how loud a rifle can be in a canyon. I need to drop the Tikka off for a thread job before I go back out. Im ready for it to cool off so we can get back to calling all day.

They are still thin. The first one had the best fur and the second had the worst.

You don't have to 4473 a rifle to yourself if you already own it. Lots of people ship rifles to themselves for an out of state hunt.

Up again. Lets get this sold!

Up....price drop to 450.

Went out this morning to see how my new 9mm AR worked on coyotes. I managed to put this stubborn female down at 148 yards because she wouldn't come any closer. The first shot sent her spinning and the second piled her up. It was farther than I wanted with a 1x Aimpoint ACO but the Hornady 135 Flexlock got it done. The dot is where I shot from.

.243 105 gr AMAX Reloading Help??
Kingzero replied to Coues Archer's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Brass trimming is a necessity. If you never trim your brass you could end up jamming the neck into the throat and essentially "crimp" the bullet in the case. This can cause hard chambering and high pressure. Trimming the necks won't affect powder capacity because you never fill up into the neck. Also, are you jumping 0.15" or 0.015"? Because 0.15" is quite a jump to start with if your not restricted by the length of a mag. If you have an accurate way of measuring the chamber, I would start touching the lands or 0.010" off. If you are seating 0.15" try loading them longer (if possible) and you might not get the powder crunch. And not to beat a dead horse...Retumbo wouldn't be my first choice for a 243. The velocity in that data is ok but with other powders you can get better. I shoot 105 Amax's in a 6mm Creedmoor (very similar) and get 2950 fps with a 20" barrel using H4350. If I had a 24" barrel like used for that Hoddgdon load data I could probably get close to 3100 fps. -

Fat Linda's are everywhere. Sometimes it's easy to recognize them and sometimes they are disguised and blend in with the rest of us "normal" folk. However, there are certain trigger words than can twist up a Fat Linda's parachute panties faster than a scalded....beaver. The first word that comes to mind is Elkgasm. You remember the Elkgasm thread right? I was dumbfounded by the ammount of mens-men hunters and sportsmen that jumped at the chance to go all "Fat Linda" over 7 letters printed on a T-shirt. All the "what if my kid sees this" and "this is just as bad as Horn Porn" garbage. That thread was gold and gave me the chance to send a couple of the resedent Fat Linda's into a more self righteous tail spin. Now I could be wrong (happens frequently) but I think I recognize a couple of the Elkgasm Linda's here bromancing it up in support of beavers everywhere. Perhaps they are trying to work themselves back into the folds of sanity and common sense. Also.....did he move his truck?

Grayboe stocks......a Mcmillan for less $$$.
Kingzero posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Grayboe Stocks is a newer company founded by Ryan Mcmillan (cofounder of Mcmillan Firearms Manufacturing) and Gregg Arthur that make fiberglass stocks using injection molding. They are sold on Gunstox.com and Red Hawk Rifles and apparently are licensed and approved by Mcmillan to produce the "Renegade" which is an A5 clone. They also have a ton of Mcmillan liquidation stocks for sale too. They only have 3 styles right now and inlet for Remington 700's only, but state that more will be added. They are getting good reviews and seem to hold up to the Mcmillan standard. Grayboe stocks......a Mcmillan for less $$$.
Kingzero replied to Kingzero's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Well, guess I was wrong....just got a response. Chris, Thank you for you interest. Grayboe is planning on offering the Tikka in the future, however, the nature of the production process does not allow for customization. It will be some time before the expansion of the current line due to manufacturing and tooling constraints. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions. Best Regards, Ladd Hunter Gunstox.com -

Wow, tough crowd. Didn't know this would turn into an action debate. For a new company the Remington 700 inlet is the wise choice....it's the most popular. If you go to the Gunstox website it says "New actions and barrel contours are continually being added on a regularly scheduled basis. If you desire a specific action or barrel contour, please contact us." It sounds like they may be able to inlet for other actions but are focusing on the 700's to sell immediately. Being a Mcmillan, and licensed to produce A5 clones...I imagine they have all the inlet info they need. I just emailed them asking about a Tikka inlet. Ill post their response when I get it. -

I have a like new (50 rounds) Tikka T3 that I will sell. It's a blued version with sporter barrel. I just bought it two weeks ago from Sportsmans but want one with a longer barrel. I would take 525.00 for it.

Last Wednesday I picked up a new Tikka in 22-250 and took it with on a family trip. We went to a friends ranch for fun and relaxation and ended up painting a barn and an old bunk house....go figure. We did however, manage to get the rifles out and put the smack down on some Prairie Dogs.....and this 22-250 is a hammer. I shighted it in at 100 yards with 5 rounds and the sixth smashed a dog at 270 yards. I pretty much ignored my custom 6mm Creedmoor because this Tikka was so much fun. It seems to be just as accurate as my 7mm superlite. Some carnage.....

FTE and FTF with a G33 9mm conversion and threaded G17 barrels.....with all kinds of factory and my reloads.

I have had problems with the 2 Lone Wolf barrels I have owned. Others say they work but I won't give them any more money. I bought a Silencerco threaded barrel for my G17 from Mr. Silencer (Bruce) and it has been flawless.
