Personally I think Sportsmans is too far gone financially to make a go of it even with the smaller store count. Their numbers look pretty dismal. Well I must be a little north of where you took those pictures cause the day gave me a lot more of a close up view. That pile beyond and between the house and tree is the same place where my truck was buried in Dec 06 while building my house. The pile would be a little larger if my truck was there but it's about 6ft+ drifts in places. This April storm was the biggest storm this area has seen in 17 years is what some people have said. Digging out today, and it is tougher than shoveling sunshine.

I used to see a lot of them along the road from Camp Verde to payson, Gen Crook Trail? About half way between the 2 points (still pinyon and juniper area) stake out a couple tanks along the West Clear Creek. Lots of other game there as well. Use a camera or 2 and you might be surprised what you find. Maybe even find the Mogollon monster! AZ's Sasquatch.... Not too far from Flag so you could do daytrips easily. Good luck

The congress and Obama have approved 3 huge spending packages to help the US out of the recession. Other countries complained that the US spending bill had the words "buy american" in it so our leaders capitulated. These spending bill are 3 times larger than all previous presidents combined have had without the interest. Palestinians attack Israel - Israel fights back and kicks some butt so the attacks stop. Hitlary Clinton says Israel needs to back off and work with the people attacking them. The US gives $900 Million to help rebuild the damaged areas on the west bank. Clinton also announces a Million dollar scholarship program to bring Palestinians to the US. Obama has begun releasing enemy combatants (terrorists) from Guantanemo and said only the really bad ones will have to remain locked up. We already have proof some of the ones that Were not too bad have gone back to terrorist actions in Afganistan and Iraq. Obama said the words (enemy combatant) will not be used to charge and detain these people any longer. I pray I am wrong, but I have a feeling that there will be an attack on this country sooner than later, and since some folks have obviously not learned from their previous mistakes and actions of others, I wonder how the perpetrators will be treated if we cannot call them enemy, combatant, terrorist, nor will we have a place to lock them up, nor will we be able to interrogate them with anything more than asking "pretty please, won't you tell me your plans". Government is not the solution to our problems, Government is the problem.

I agree with both of you, but we all must do something, whatever it may be to convince those who are supposed to represent us. Isn't it a sad day when "..a government of the people, by the people, and for the people" is so difficult to get from our legislators because of their playing politics and being so intent on satisfying their power hungry needs .
