old ones fr sure. I bet they did not weigh much either. Josh, 1980's, are you serious. I never thought antlers would last that long in the open. Elements and critters would seem to tear them up faster than that, but I am curious to hear your opinion on how long antlers can last in the open like that.

With a 400 yard first shot, maybe Joey won't even leave camp the next year. Just shoot one from his back porch? Wow.. nice deal and he definitely set the bar high for next year. Congrats.

Maybe we should hold a caption contest for the pictures. the first one might be.. "Dude. Did you see that thing flash at me!"

What an awesome buck! I'd guess 110 + or - a few inches. Really great character on that rack! Congratulations

Shortshooter eh? Sounds like that name fits with a 40-50 yard shot at a coues deer. Congratulations

I am building my house so the truck is taking second priority... It is still not totally dug out. I got to the door and found the snow was packed under the truck as tight as on top so it has to wait. I have some Plumbing issues that cropped up after sheetrock, to take care of today then I hope to dig it out. OH Joy! Thought you'd all get akick out of the picture anyway. Well lunchtime is over... gotta get back at it! Merry Christmas -
Welcome to the forum . Glad to see you came out of the closet... so to speak. That is a nice first coues too! Congrats

I will try to post it here now, but if I have problems, I will send it to you and let you attach it to the post. Let's This game, "Find the Dodge" One word of warning to AZ residents. Never park your vehicle on the wind "protected" side of a structure in a blizzard. Seemed right at the time but was I ever wrong on this one! -

I parked my truck next to the side door on the house to toss in scraps of sheetrock and now the snow is so deep I cannot find it! Maybe I need a bigger truck, or maybe a covered parking spot! -
A very nice Buck indeed! Congratulations and good lick on getting your tag filled.

Awesome buck! Nice story and one time where holding out has paid off! 100lbs must have felt pretty light on the pack out as I bet you were stoked with such a big one! Score?

Score one for the good guys!

Yeah, I recall that too and for a moment I thought it was Miuke that time too, but I think it was someone else that broke a wrist or arm and had to have it pinned. I bet someone will post who that one was. Mike, Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Remember, them bucks won't wait for you so you better heal fast before someone else finds them!

Yikes...Radioactive waste or some potent acid sounds likely. I think it was great to put him out of his misery!
-
Just plain awesome buck. Love that head on shot to show the height. Congratulations!

KaChing goes the register again at AGFD.

Too much thinking in this scenario, I would just get in the best position possible and shoot him!

I think I would mark the spot and plan a return hike to do some shed hunting in a month or 2. I would also call my buddy, Ace Ventura, and we might do some detective work and check with other hunters in the area (if any) and observe the carcass for signs of foul play or vehicular damage. Probably would post something somewhere "like this forum" so if I happen to run across a skull and antler find in the next few weeks, that everyone is aware it was from a dead buck found perviously, and not poached by me. Ernesto... You really think the AGFD would give you the okay to take the head? -
Hmmmm Seems like this news report is using similar information to what I have been stating. (if somewhat out of date) 1 in 7 Mexican born workers are working in the USA. The story also states in 2005 that 9.4 % of Mexican citizens are living in the USA illegally. You gotta know there are some bad apples in that group and they are a big part of the crime problem. When so many people flagrantly break laws, and their own government encourages this behavior, they are pitifull, but really screwed up.
