    Auction Elk Tag filled ???

I heard the same thing. The version I got was that the an individual knew of this bull and posted a video on the internet of him in his yard. The hunter seen the video and contacted him asking about the video offering $10,000 for the location. Well obviosly the location was given to the hunter. Meanwhile the talk in the area spread about the cash offer. So when the bull was killed in someone elses yard they threw a fit trying to get some cash outta the deal. Turns out the hunter got turned in. All as the bull lay on the ground. So they allowed the hunter to keep horn and head while G&F took the body because they did not have proper resident permission to shoot the bull near thier residence. Dont know if they were sited for shooting to close to a house or not.

    broadheads you guys are shooting?

I have been using the ROCKET AEROHEAD 75 gr. ultimate steels, however everytime I shoot one into a deer, it breaks one blade off. So the next one for me to try is going to be the american broadheads 75 gr. sonic heads. They appear to have a design that will prevent as much breakage.

    chevy gas milage question

I THINK THE BEST WAY TO GET GOOD MILEAGE OUT OF A 3/4 TON IS TO GO DIESEL. Chevy's have never gotten good gas mileage IMO. I do know that cold air intakes will get 2-4 mpg increase, power programmers will get you tons of power. The only problem is you then have to keep your foot outta the throttle or you will not gain in mpg. It is hard to do, especially when the power is there.

    2007 bow face-off

I just put my hands on the X-FORCE 7 and I was impressed, the PSE rep said it looses an average of 10 fps from the 6" BH. It has some hand shock and shoots very well. I would like to get a bit more intimate with this bow here shortly.

Oh boy, here we go again

Why would a hunter want to have a negative affect on the future of hunting? I know I want to be positive towards hunting and involving the youth, afterall they are the ones who need to learn how valuable it is so they too will help protect it. Just because the Az. commission does something you may not 100% agree with doesn't mean you should just clam up and not help poeple old/young get involved. Sorry I do not understand your point....

    Does Anyone's Bow Go Crazy?

NO It is an ebay store, if you use the yahoo search and type in "shooters edge bowstring" it pops up like crazy! Also you should replace the bus cable with the string so they "break in" together. Otherwise you will compound the problem, 10-4? When I got mine back it was 99% exactly the way I brought it to him, had to move the sight a lil bit in the down ward position to sight in again. I assume it was to compensate for the amount of string stretch i had on my old string.......

    Does Anyone's Bow Go Crazy?

I am telling you it IS worth it! I drove 4 hours to have my bow blessed with a SHOOTERS EDGE string. Or search the internet and order one, he has an ONLINE STORE, keywords: shooters edge. Then have your local shop install it. As mentioned before it is about time for the shops to get busy. Ray was already feeling the surge a couple weeks ago, once again GOOD LUCK!

    Does Anyone's Bow Go Crazy?

I have always been told to change strings every year just to be on the safe side. Also you know you have a good back up string that is already stretched to keep handy incase something happens in the field. Instead of just plane "wearing it out". I am not up to date on the newer mathews such as the XT, but the mathews I have had all had timing marks on them. They are two small holes on top and bottom of the bottom cam. They should be in line parallel to the string. If it is closer to the string on the top of the cam it is possiblly streched. If in deed you feel your bow needs re-strung I reccommend you replace them with shooters edge strings. They are outta Tucson and IMO are the best strings for the money by far! The shop name is SHOOTERS EDGE. I just got mine done for $64.95 OTD, strings and cables w/custom colors As mentioned before check your posture, grip, anchor ETC. It may feel comfortable now but may be a little different than back in January. Mathews grips are easy to grip incorrectly and still feel right. GOOD LUCK on your elk hunt.

Crazy is right. A little angry, but right. You put just about any company's flagship bow in a top shooter's hands nowadays and it will win. Crazy$COUES, send Longshooter a PM. If you're into "that kinda thing", he'll come over and "massage" all your anger away... so I've heard. When someones hummingbird mouth overruns there alligator a$$ it makes me angry. That is not what this board is about. As far as the massage I will have to pass. You must have recieved a proposition or two...or once again are you letting that humming bird mouth run on.

Do any of you actually know how to spell MATHEWS? If you ever owned one you would know. How many harmonic dampeners does a bow need? Also anyone who is worried about who can shoot the most spots @ 18 is GAY! The top SHOOTERS are what makes the bow win, they go with the best contract so take it for what it is worth.

    Couple of Questions..

Welcome to CWT, I recently went throught the same discussion about bino's. I got the swarovski 15 x56, wouldn't want anything else for glassing up coues. You should buy the best you can afford or make your self afford the best you can buy. Freehanding the 15's is possible but not preferred. As far as the illegals swiping cameras I have no experience. I would imagine that an illegal will do whatever it takes to keep from being seen or caught. Third, I believe the G&F officer mentioned it in hunter safety that packin a pistol in a holster was legal or is in the works, for personal protection because of the concerns with illegals. I would always check the regulations and laws before doing anything questionable, things seem to be changing every year anymore. GOOD LUCK!

    Summer sucks

I like to hangout shootin 3D in the summer. It allows me some time to bond with my bow and arrow. Then when season rolls around I have all the confidence in the world in my equipment and abilities. Also I like to take the kids out thumpin prarie dogs with rifle or a bow and arrow it is a blast! However I can feel your pain, the fall is my fav time of year as well. It is just around the corner and will be here soon. In the meantime don't miss an oppurtunity that can be had this summer. GOOD LUCK!

    Bowtech: Allegiance or Tribute?

IMO the only thing that would be a determining factor is what is your drawlength? If it is 29" or greater go with the tribute, 28" or less go with the allegiance. The reasoning is simple if you want to shoot around 300 FPS you will need the extra inch or two for the tribute to achieve 300, were as the allegiance will do it at 27." I personally have the allegiance @ 70# 28" draw and shoot 307 FPS w/5 grains per pound. Hope this helps. As far as the limb issues, I have never seen any EVER! Only "heard" folks talk about it. You will not be dissapointed with a bowtech. GOOD LUCK!

    Bowtech or Parker

Buy the bow that is the most comfortable for you to shoot. IMO these two bow types have no comparison. I would try to narrow it down a bit by asking yourself, Which one feels the best when you hold it by the grip? Then which one feels the best during the draw cycle and let off? Does it allow you to anchor comfortablly without feeling like your grip is wrong, draw cycle too soft, hard, let off too agressive, back wall mushy and soft or solid? These are the thing i would consider. I personally would like the BOWTECH better because that is what I shoot. It feels good to me, I like the grip, the smooth solid draw cycle, the SOLID adjustable draw stops. Then when you release an arrow and it hits were you are aiming faster than any other bow out there it just plain feels GOOD! Don't get caught up in the manufacturers or sales persons hype. Go with what feels best to you and ENJOY!

    Seeking binocular advice

BAD GLASS ON A GOOD TRIPOD IS STILL BAD GLASS! Good glass on any tripod is still good glass. So I see a major difference. Get the SWARO's 15x56 they are GREAT!
