Yeah an adjustable gas block solved it. You can tune the gas to the action. Is it ejecting the spent case?

How many rounds you got through it?

I got about 200 rds loose in a ammo can. Some definitely have ejector marks. But some also red paint on the bottom. Thanks for the help. I already have a load worked up for the -06 so I Ireally don't intend on shooting it if someone is interested let me know.

I got some old 30-06 hand loads from Grandpa's stuff. Any of you old timers know anything about this old brass? Most cases are 57 and 61
