Great looking bulls!

Fished there three times in the early 2000s, but haven't been able to since. Was up there in May for work (company HQ is in Anchorage), but no time to fish. Hope to get back up again and plan some extra time to get out on the water. Beautiful country up there!

Nice! Is that the silver run on the Kenai?
-
Hope it's soon. Been checking several times a day to see where my first AZ deer hunt is going to be.

I remember hearing something from G&F that this was going to be possible. I also recall that there was going to be some upgrades coming after the initial roll out but what I don't remember was if having access to draw results was part of the initial release or if it was going to be further down the line. Is there a fee to sign up? When signing up I understand I will need to create a profile so will I need to use my hunter ID? No fee to sign up, and yes, you'll need your hunter ID. I signed up back in March before the elk/antelope results were posted. It currently shows the past few years of your draw results, bonus points and license info. I'm still hoping they'll post the results here first, but nothing yet.

So far it's good. I keep checking it in hopes it will be the first place we see draw results.

Beautiful bear, congrats! My boss lives in Anchorage and shot his first bear in the Sound the second week of May. Beautiful country up there!

I just got hit for $90. First AZ deer hunt for me and my hunting partner! Most likely unit 9 the first week of November. Will have to wait and see if we got REALLY lucky and have 12A West late November. This is an Alert to help you manage your credit card account ending in xxxx. As you requested, we are notifying you of an online, phone or mail order charge. A charge of ($USD) 90.00 was authorized at AZ GAME & FISH DEPT on 07/10/2015 9:53:14 AM EDT.

Great job! Amazing repair work.

Doubt if they'll start hitting Friday, but hopefully by early next week.

+1 on the clear fingernail polish. Wife and son got them pretty bad in Missouri last year and someone said to dab clear nail polish, and it worked great!

Happy Birthday Frank! Hope you're having a fantastic day and celebrate with friends and family all weekend!

We're in NW Peoria off 91st ave and Beardsley.

Our HOA is cracking down and not allowing any parking on the street, so we need some concrete work to be able to park another vehicle. Does anyone on here do concrete work, or know of anyone that does good work at a reasonable price? We're looking at pouring a slab next to the driveway and possibly take it along the side of the house into the backyard if there's room.

Congrats on a nice bull. Perseverance pays off!

Thanks Lance and 5Guys for the leads. ThomC, I agree. We spent the first several months of the year looking for another place without an HOA, but no success. Going to have to do some work so we don't get fined every 10 days. Won't be in an HOA again after we get out of this one.

Awesome! Congratulations on all of the sheds!

Happy Birthday Connor! I had the pleasure of meeting you last November. You're a fine young man and I hope you have a fantastic Birthday and successful turkey hunt with your Dad!

Hi Seldom, Have actually hunted both over the past few years. Hunted Dec late cow last year and had rain while scouting the day before (we were low in the unit). Guess we should have gone to the higher elevation last year. 2012 I actually hunted the late rifle bull and didn't get any snow, but the cow hunt right after us did get a pretty good snow. In 2010 we hunted late rifle cow and I don't remember getting any snow. In 2008 we hunted late cow and we did get some snow that Sunday night as my friend got his cow and we were field dressing it in the snow. 2007 was Oct cow with no snow and 2006 was late cow without snow. I remember several years we didn't hunt and there being blizzards. Since we only had 2 wheel drive at the time, was somewhat glad we didn't get drawn. i remember the 40-50 inch blizzard and was really thankful we weren't up there that year. As a side note, since I'm not a very good hunter, I've hunted all 7 days on each of the hunts only getting a cow on the last morning in 2006. Been eating tag soup ever since. Overall, can't remember more than a couple of inches of snow on any given hunt, and that was only a couple of times if my fading memory is correct.

Flagstaff is about an hour drive from the southern end of the unit and an hour and a half to the northern end. If you're doing a hotel, I'd stay in Tusayan unless you're going to hunt the far southern portion of the unit. If you plan on hunting more on the southern end of the unit, there's either the Grand Canyon in in Valle, which is near the southern portion of the unit, or Williams which is a half an hour south of Valle. Tusayan is probably your best bet overall if you're not sure where you want to hunt or if you want to hunt different areas.

Have to agree with Pine Donkey. My profile picture was taken on the hill right behind the McDonalds in Tusayan a few years ago. There's lots of area to cover and the elk can be pretty spread out. Have hunted it just about every other year for the past 10 years and have yet to see much snow. I didn't get drawn this year, but it seems to snow the years I'm not drawn. So, hopefully you'll get some this year.
