Just curious as to how others do there scouting. I'm mainly talking about deer but this could apply for any game. My dad alwayse said we'll scout as the season gets closer and for the most part that worked fine. In later years I started scouting more often watching the patterns change. Then when all the hunts started everything changed again by the time my rifle hunt started. So with all that said is there a right or wrong way to scout or any suggestions

I have an Advantage this year that I can scout from horse back. I haven't been in this area since I was a kid and look forward to seeing it again. I think I'll start by hitting the water holes seeing which ones have water and go from there.

No but the herds have really gone down. I use to be able to go for a drive I Flagstaff and see quite a few deer in different areas. Now we're lucky to see one or two. So how do they rate an increase or pay raises when it's clear that they managed to run the herds into the ground. Then they introduce wolves again. That really helps the wildlife

I feel every dollar collected and spent should be public and Voters should have a say if it seems they are not using the money or doing their job wisely... But the same reasons the Cardinals can keep kicking up ticket prices or promoters can get $100 a pop on a pay per view fight is because the demand and people keep paying .... I am more concerned with those lobbying to create much higher tag fee structures by creating trophy hunts than with an across the board increase for all and not messing with things ( I know you archery guys already feel you are getting shafted ) ..... IMO G&F dollars should never go in the state general fund that is where they are wasted the most...+1 Well said
