cool, I also would like to try to take off the pack portion off the frame and put a pig on the frame......good to know fyi a gutted coues deer fitted inside the pack, it takes a little patience and shimming and shakin, but it fits, congrats again!!

congrats! did strapping the pig to your pack like that work out well? I have the same pack and want to find a way to pack out a pig that doesn't result in me putting it inside the pack .

and for every guy that hoards the ammo, there is 4 guys that buy as much as they can because there kids love shooting and go through ammo fast and 22 is the cheapest way to go

the outdoorsmans is absolutely awesome, cant say it enough, "the last pack I will ever own, unless I get another!" I fit a whole coues deer(just gutted) in the main compartment and it didn't feel too bad, was different, but got used to it the more I got into the packout, I will buy a rainfly for it before next hunting season because I had all of y toilet paper in the top pouch and it rained, which got my tp wet, good thing I didn't have to take a #2. only the pockets that are on the very outside of the pack got wet, didn't get inside. only downside, otherwise it is perfect versatile: you can separate the frame from the pack and have a pack frame that can take on an elk qrt. love it

Thanks so much, I would have it tubed and tanned. but if I blow a big hole in it then I might just want to rug skin it then just stretch and dry, I would rather put the money into a prime fur than a beat up one.

At cabelas, they have CCI 300 packs for $25! 1 pack per person per day, so take your significant other, or buddy so that you can get multiple I was there yesterday, I cant imagine it all being gone so go fast.
