Hunting 36A,B,C back in the 80's--90's seeing a mountain lion was rare. Now thier ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!!!! We saw as many moutain lions as big deer this season! They hunt all year.

Between Christmas and the New Year was one of the toughest times to hunt a big coues deer!!!!! The full moon was rising at sunset, and setting at sunrise!! Between 11:00 PM and 3:00 AM it was daylight outside! I don't mind hunting the full moon, but this was as bad as it could be. December tag or not, good luck.

Went south to scout last weekend. My hunting partner Jake Pike (SIDERACK) and a couple of guides went to figure out a couple of our new ranches! The first day we laid out the terain. The second day we glassed up several smaller bucks, and hiked looking for sign. Bye the end of the day we knew where we were going to hunt plus what we were looking for. The bed of the truck was loaded with shed antlers. The largest shed was over 60 inches!!! Can't wait to see what the smallest antler is going to turn in to! What do you think?

Jake and I are pretty excited to say the least. The first three hunts will be alot of fun. Then it's trigger time for us. The country is tough to hunt, but we'll get it done!

Ernesto, even if the cape has been frozen for more than 24 hours. By the time you get to the border from down south in Sonora you have a thawed cape, which is a problem!! I've been running a generator in the back of my truck with a small freezer because of this. The PROFEPA inspection is always a good idea as well. I've also had problems with Nasser. That is why I do what I do!!! Jim

We found a deer that I would love to shoot, but probably wont live that long. The main beams G-2 G-3's all crossed!! There are 3 groups of hunters going hunting on these ranches before I get to hunt myself. I'm going after that buck with the crossed antlers with the first hunter! I hope we get him.

I wish i had taken a photo of the back of the truck ( it was impressive ) These are some antlers I got from the cowboy. The one with the $5 bill has a 7 1/4" base!!! it's a shame the beam is busted off WOW!! The antlers in the other photo are all 120---135 class deer.

Hi Bob, Congrats to you, your brother Mark, Lane, and Dave. Looks like you guys had a great hunt!!!! Patrick Newman already asked me to bring your sheds through customs next time I bring a shipment of antlers across. It'll be alittle while. but we'll get them for you. Congrats again Jim Reynolds

Lark, Most of the fruit is on the other side of the border to the north in Trinidad! Bill, Most of the common folk refer to them as "northern", "eastern" or Texas whitetail, for as long as I can remember. Seems pretty simple.

AZantlerhead, We can shed hunt the entire year. Hunting is only a few days! So while your hunting, your shed hunting!!! It only makes sence. Open season on sheds!!!!!! YA I tend to come out of the mountains with a few antlers weather I'm hunting or not. Jim
