  1. Dude, don't take it too harsh. Alot of the Swaro crew guys are real touchy when ever anyone mentions any other binos... Gino ESPECIALLY!!!

As long as you have binos that YOU like and YOU can find game with.. Who cares what brand they are.

Casey--- I lieca pair of Swarovski's please!!!!! thank You.

  2. Wow what a loss on my part!!!

I was out of town for a couple of weeks when I got the email from Amanda about the party.

I had to be in Hermosillo Mexico to check out a ranch to hunt. I HAD NO IDEA the party was within a quarter mile across the street from my house!!!

    I could have walked!!

Snapshot, I'll have to stop bye and say hi sometime.

    My loss Jim Reynolds

Any relation to Bob Reynolds down the street :)

    Brent,

No relation to Bob. I live between you and the end of the road to the south.

  4. Hey Neo, take a look at antlerdogs avatar. He just happens to know a thing or two about shed hunting.....

Me, I am not an avid shed hunter. I just find them as I am doing other stuff.

    Amanda

    Amanda,

I admire anyone who gets out looking for coues sheds (shed recovery team)

A good day looking for coues sheds beats anything else except hunting coues!

  5. your right, post a better grouping... roughly 1/2 MOA at 400 and 500 yds is not all that good from a bed of a truck shooting table and a hunting rifle

Hope you can pack your truck along with you... ;)

fuego, check your spanish pal ;)

Jack, I road hunt, so i ALWAYS pack my truck with me ;)

    JUST KIDDING

Shoots better than I do on paper!!

I always calculate inches to feet shooting at a BIG buck!!

    That's why I like a 200--300 yard shot!

In reality you are rifle ready period!

  6. I bought this shed this summer from a rancher here in 6A. I'm pretty sure it was dropped in spring of '06 so maybe he's still around. Unless he's lion poo of course. My boy found one of my hats in the closet and he's been wearing it ever since. He loves it and I thought this pic was appropriate for the site and to share with you all. Any guesses on the size of the shed?

    Grong,

Raising him the way a boy should be!

  7. Outstanding shed!

Doesn't surprise me that it ended up in Reynolds's coues collection. I've bought some whopper sheds from him on ebay.

Super nice and thanks for sharing!

Those sheds look very familiar! We picked up two sets of sheds off the same buck.

My hunting partner shot the deer in 1998. It had a gross score of 122 , and netted 114 and some change.

A picture of the deer is on my hunting website. (third photo down on the left column)

AZP&Y I wish it was in my collection. My buddy has the two sets of sheds also.

  8. The raffle tag holder (Bobby Boido) emailed me info and photos on his buck. He is registered in the forum but said for some reason he couldn't log in.

Here is what he had to say about it:

My wife Olga won the super raffle coues deer tag. She signed the tag over to me.I see that some guys are asking what happened on this hunt. I hunted a total of 23 days starting September 1,2006. We saw a total of 138 coues bucks with 5 going over 100 inches. This buck I took on January 20, 2007. My buck scores 118 inches with a 5 inch drop tine.I have hunted old Mexico and Arizona and I had never seen a drop tine buck. We also saw 24 herds of javalina, 10 coyotes and 4 bobcats. I did all my hunting in southern arizona with the help of some of the most fanatical coues deer hunters a guy can be friends with. My biggest help came from my cousin George Alcorta and my other cousin George Dalton.I wont name all the guys here, but one huge special thanks goes to Marty Hendricks for telling me about this buck.

The forth time we went to look for this buck was the first time we saw him, right where he was supposed to be.

I cant thank my wife enough for the tag and for putting up with me and my buddies. Almost every weekend we would meet at my house, making noise coming and going.

To the guys and gals on this site, some one has to win, so give it a try!!

    Bobby,

    Congrats on a GREAT BUCK!!

    Gotta love that drop tine!

  9. antlerdog,

the one in my thumbnail is a typical 5 point, with a big eyeguard (6 points total) scores right at 55"...found in a rugged part of AZ with very few coues deer...... ;)

    GreyGhost,

Thank You! Looks like a sweet antler!

    Jim

  10. Why is it that neither the King Buck or Reynold bucks are listed on B&C when they are clearly larger than 144"?

    Coues7,

Go to the 12th Edition of Boone and Crockett Club's RECORDS OF NORTH AMERICAN BIG GAME. In the non-typical catagory my deer is number 11 with a net score of 147". His gross score is 159.6"

I also have six other deer that I have shot listed in the Boone and Crockett book. (not the awards book). With the smallest netting 113" typical.

    CRB,

You are correct, I have moved on many years ago! Some people havn't!!

    Jim Reynolds

    Corey,

Matched sets and non typicals are hard to come by! ( at least ones a guy would get rid of )

Excellent shed! Looks better than 52"?

    Jim
