If you log in it still shows elk and antelope "Not drawn" without BP updates for deer and sheep. Guess we are getting closer............

Well since I didn't get an elk or goat tag I am already planning for deer. Just need to make up my mind on where I would like to go. Typically I prefer the little "predictable" grey ghosts but the last couple years I have been trying for a big "elusive" desert muley. Figure we could put some pics up of what we have been seeing the last season and early on this year to get our minds off the tags we didn't get. All of mine are thru binoculars or spotting scope so sorry for the quality. I'll start with a few and put more up after some people join in. Here are a few desert muley to start with......... The last 2 are coues.

Size doesn't matter for me and my family either. Getting a big buck is nice but i would rather get a small buck instead of nothing. Plus doing it with friends and family and getting to harvest any animal is a trophy in my book. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. Good luck in the draw this year. -
Nice looking bird, he didn't even have a chance.

Nice set up!
-
Congrats on all the birds. Sounds like it was an awesome time for the family.

Even a good pair of 12's will do. Most of the time I use the 12's to find the deer then use the 20's to put antlers on them. macknnc If you are interested in hunting down south I would recommend 36A just because that's where I spend most of my time when I have to pick up a leftover. I'm sure my self and plenty of other CWT members would share some information with you or even help you get your first Coues. A lot of us get just as excited watching and helping someone else harvest an animal as if it were our own hunt. I would figure out where you want to hunt, do some research, and start going thru the forums for information then start talking to people. PM me if you have any questions and I'll try to help you out. The good thing is your app isn't due until early June so you have some time to get it all figured out.
