Do you guys prefer rifle scopes with or without the parallax adjustment? Is is really necessary?

Another thing is you can go to swarovski.com and enter the information for the rifle caliber, make, model and what bullets you are shooting and it will calculate the drop for all of the hash and dots on the scope. You will then be able to print this paper and take it to the range or hunting with you.

Have a look at the Swarovski BR (ballistic reticle). The BR set up is rated 5 out of the top ten long range hunting reticles. You can buy the 6-18x50 for $874 on this site from doug. I just bought one.

What are the differences of the scopes listed? Is the BT better than the BR or Plex? Wanting to buy a scope ASAP please help. Thanks

Hunted 32 for a couple years. A lot more hunters than deer. Was there on 2 hunts on the sunset loop last year and don't remember hearing too many shots or seeing any deer hanging. Good luck wherever you go.

I have some 12x50 Leica's. Great glass, great shape, used for 5 yrs now on about a dozen hunts. Just upgraded to Swaro 15's and would like to trade for a .270 or $. Thanks

Yeah!! Sorry so long for the story I haven't had a chance to reply. I also don't have too many pictures because my digital camera was in 2 pieces when I went for it. Luckily I found an old disposable in the bottom of the saddle bag that had only a couple of pics left on it. Altogether I was seeing an average of 3 decent bucks per day. On day 3 while glassing a good buck about 2000 yards away I could hear some branches breaking and rocks rolling off to my right. I turned and looked but couldn't see anything. Then I heard it again. I set up my 8 yr old son Nicolas so he could glass that hill while I was trying to get a better look at the other one. After a couple of minutes he was pulling on my shirt so excited he couldn't get a word out. So I went over to where he was and about 120 yards across the small canyon there was a good 4x4 buck about 105" and even better he was feeding and didn't know we were there. I don't think you could ask for a better set up, vantage point etc. I set up the bipod on my rifle and put the boy behind the tripod and binos. I waited for about 10 seconds for him to turn broadside and shot! I was sure he was down. But sure enough he was still feeding, didn't even pick his head up. So I set up again and shot. Again he was still standing there. But this time I got his attention (that's all I got). He took a few steps and stopped so I shot again and again. Then he disappeared over the saddle. I went back down the canyon to check my rifle, (the boy glaring at me the whole way), set up a target about the size of a paper plate. At 25 yards I couldn't even hit the plate. I was shooting all over the place. I have been shooting this rifle since I was about 12 years old. So I gave up hunting that day and sent for another rifle. I went back up there the following 3 days but couldn't find him again. On the second to last day I found another buck about 1500 yards away that was about 75 to 80" and decided I would take him. When I got to the point where I was going to shoot from I noticed some more deer about 60 yards below me. There ended up being about 15 deer feeding in the clearing, about 10 does and 5 bucks. I saw this one and waited for him to separate a little from the others and took him with a whopping 70 yard shot. Took my dad in there the next and he ended up getting one too!! I need a good digital camera to take some good clear pictures. What are you guys using and what do you suggest? Skinner

Have any of you guys used Rocket Arrowheads. They mostly make mechanical broadheads but do have a set of fixed blade broadheads. I have had some pretty good results with them. With the 100 gr steelhead I was really able to zip my arrows exactly where I wanted them as opposed to some of the fixed blade, did some great damage on a bull last year.

Pic of my 6 yr old. Has hunted with me for 2 yrs. now. Was always worried about working him too hard in the hills but heck those little guys are tougher than you think. He can hike for miles as long as you got M & M's. And by the way. We crossed that big canyon in the first pic, reached the top of the other side at nightfall.

Hey Russ, I got a credit card hit for $114 today. I think they charged me for the catfish we caught last week.

I have a set of Docter binoculars and the lens has come loose inside. You can actually hear the lens bouncing around inside. I bought them about 5 years ago and now they are useless. The store I bought them from is no longer in business. Anyone know where to go for help with this matter. Thanks

I guess I forgot to add that I'll take $1000 for them. I just saw them for sale at Cabela's for $1545 and at Sportsman's for $1499. I still have the box and literature that comes with them. I will not mail them. Anywhere in Phoenix or Tucson I will hand deliver. Thanks
