Heck of a buck for a heck of a guy. Congrats Jim, he's awesome . I love tall, narrow bucks like that. For a buck to go 218 with a 19" inside spread, that really is something special!

Thanks, ehunt besides coues hunting that has to be one of the best times and places to hunt. It looks like a banner year up there for you guys that have tags. Been some giant deer seen this summer. Congrats on the bucks! Hunting those big floppy eared dummies is kinda like kicking a puppy though: too easy, not very rewarding, and you feel "dirty" afterwards Only kidding. Sorta

The buck came from New Mexico. It is NOT a 300 inch deer. Monster deer for sure though.

Some bucks will stay 2 points all their lives. It's a genetic thing. As far as that particular buck, it's hard to say obviously. Cool video by the way.

When your wife asks what are the first two things you would grab if the house was on fire and you say "my skull from my big buck, and my Coues gun... In that order." Then when she asks about the dog you say "I'd use the gun to put him out of his misery, heck I could do it from 600 yards easy." True story
