Blinds can be effective if you set them up well before sunrise and near the turkey's roosting area but I wouldn't use one because the birds don't always come straight in to your decoys and call so you need to be able to be mobile. Last year I was led on a wild goose chase trying to get on some gobblers

How did you get into hunting and the outdoors?
backcountry_brad replied to capoeirajosh's topic in The Campfire
I have been fishing and backpacking nearly my whole life but got into hunting through my passion with guns and got hooked after I killed my first turkey at a youth camp a few years ago. -
I agree with the rug. Javelina rugs look bad a$$ but I would do open mouth to show off its gnarly tusks
-
That's true most of the time, although,it's not always the case. For example; you can kill any bearded turkey but I don't think it would be ethical to kill a bearded hen.

I'd go without a guide. You'll feel better killin a 320 bull on your own than you would a 350 bull with a guide. But if you do choose to get a guide look into guys who specialize in elk in 23N

You're not even supposed to Hang a trail camera in the wilderness areas, I would imagine setting up a water catchment in the wilderness would be off limits as well. Why not just just find a seep or spring and hunt that? Because people know about springs and can be found easier -
Like Norteno said, what's your price range? If you wanna spend a grand or two get a nightforce. If you're looking to keep it under a grand the vortex vipers are good scopes

Yesterday I was calling for fox and had a falcon and hawk land 20 yards from me and stare at my foxpro -
For the mouth calls make a "chuck" or "puck" sound to get your clucks and once you have those down try making the same noise in a gradual pattern to get yelps and cuts. Don't quit practicing with your mouth calls, they take some time to get a hang of!

That's true but the question is are they shedable?

Should've taken it without dogs if it was glassed up
